the hard thing with this new house is lighting. but i think i got enough light this time to be able to see this quilt. i just LOVE it. it's so very simple but i still love it. it's not as big as i like but when you use scraps you take what you can get.:)
the back is also everything that i had. i was going to start a red and white log cabin but then i found the plus sign quilt and went that way so i used my log cabin blocks on the back. this back was a BIG stretch for me and i'm very pleased with the randomness of it. i see these backs on blogs and think i'm going to try them and then don't. but when you don't want to go by more fabric you do what you can do!
What a lovely quilt...look great on the bed.
ReplyDeleteI really like how you made a very simple quilt for your bed and then did a coordinating quilt that was more complicated for the foot of the bed. It's a good idea for people like me who are intimidated by big bed quilts.
ReplyDeletethis is so beautiful
ReplyDeleteLooks great - I just love a surprise on the back, too. Polka dotty binding makes a fun finish!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous quilt, Heather!
ReplyDeleteI really love your plus quilt. Did you have a pattern for it? I haven't seen one anywhere.
ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty! I love it.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty quilt. I like the comment about the polka dots. Sometimes I don't want to use fabric because it is just so darn cute in my stash. Is that a documented illness?
