another baby quilt!! i don't feel like i can get away from these. i feel like i need to do something BIG!!!! :):) i have a friend whose daughter is due at the end of this month so i wipped this up sat, sun and mon. it sure is bright but i like it. it's all fabric that i had which i LOVE!!!
the back is chambray and the red star binding. it's a fun baby quilt!!
hope chambray is spelled right otherwise my critic reader will correct me and tell me how dumb she thinks i am and that i'm better than that. to be honest i'm not better than that because i usually post quickly now a days.:)
Heather - you are right - the comment wasn't very nice - never should anyone call another person dumb :( Just ignore the anonymous coward and know that there are many more of us that love you out here in blog land!!
ReplyDeletesounds like it's time to disallow anonymous comments...
ReplyDeleteWow! The nerve of some people.
ReplyDeleteAbout the quilt -- I love bright quilts for babies! You're friend will love it.
Ha! I mean "your." I was thinking "you're a good friend" and changed it mid stream...
ReplyDeleteThat person is just silly...who is that worried about someone elses spelling. The quilts are beautiful! As always!
ReplyDeleteVery cute quilt! I love the binding.
ReplyDeletesooooooooooooooo cute!!
ReplyDeleteWow, kind of a harsh comment! Sheesh.
ReplyDeleteI love this quilt. Lucky baby!
Great baby quilt!
ReplyDeletehaha, that's so funny, especially since she/he didn't even leave their name. you should just spell words wrong on purpose to drive her nuts.
ReplyDeletelove the quilt.
I love your quilts and your writing style...it feels like I am listening to a conversation. Don't change for anyone...especially someone not brave enough to leave a comment!
ReplyDeletevery cute quilt - and so was the last one! I missed it as it was on my son's birthday and then I fell WAY behind on my blog reading.
ReplyDeletethose stars are SO great for the binding!
and boo on the nasty anonymous comments - i turned mine off!
What a cute little quilt! The stars on the binding are adorable!
ReplyDeleteDon't let that negative comment get to you. People like that are unhappy and seem to enjoy spreading their negativity. Your readers love you! You are wonderful and creative!
i can not believe how rude that commenter was. like a little spelling error is going to be the end of the world. this quilt is beautiful...i love all the bright colors
ReplyDeleteSuper cute quilt! And how awesome that you were able to throw it all together from stash-- that has got to be a good feeling!
ReplyDeleteTry not to let the nasty comment get to you. You're a great quilter, and I love seeing what you have to share on your blog. Keep up the wonderful work! :)
That is another beautiful quilt. Don't worry about what some anonymous person has to say. Most of us write our blog posts fast and I see all kinds of errors in mine. Hang in there and don't let it get to you.
ReplyDeleteWhen you can quilt like that, who cares how you spell? I agree with Anne - it's probably the speed. I consider myself a pretty good speller, but my typing doesn't always show it!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work - I love your stuff!
You prove your brilliance in your amazing quilting and creativity! Someone who does such beautiful work - and who is always so NICE and optimistic - is allowed a misspelled word here and there! Don't change for anyone!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't let rude people (or grammar police-they are SO annoying) get you down. Your baby quilt is gorgeous!! Love the idea of using chambray on the back.
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt...the binding is so cute! I've never considered chambray, but I like it.
ReplyDeleteI added the comment after "ms. rudeness" and was tempted to say something. But it wasn't my place so I'm glad you vented! Who doesn't make mistakes now and then?
I love your baby quilt; I think the brightness of the colors will be loved by the new baby.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't listen to rude not-nice people!
Love the quilt-especially the star binding. It makes it almost "sparkle-y". Is that spelled right? LOL
ReplyDeleteIf you're ballsy enough to critique someone's blog post... be ballsy enough to not be Anonymous. I had done a 'Happy Valentine's Day' post once and Anonymous came knocking to tell me how unoriginal I am.... Whatever.
ReplyDeleteI think your work is great and the spelling doesn't phase me even a little bit.
It's adorable, and she will love it I am sure. Look at you, whipping it up in 3 days! Awesome :)
ReplyDeleteOh goodness. I can't believe someone would be rude enough to leave a comment like that. Try not to let it bother you. Your quilts are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou're WAY too talented to let snobby people affect you. I understand how it would hurt - but know that there are so many other people that read and appreciate all you do! You are a great inspiration for so many. Your quilts are always GORGEOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! Never allow someone to post anonymous comments to your blog. I am always amazed at how fast your can put quilts together, keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt!!! Someone that creates beautiful quilts like you do is no where near dumb in my book! :0) Everyone makes miskates :0) HA! That's the way we were designed........... We are all human. Keep up the great work. I love looking at the work.....and envy it! :0)
