the back is a solid pink and of course the ever fabulous flea market fancy in pink. LOVE IT!!!
i made this purse/bag awhile back and wasn't sure what to do with it and thought maybe you guys would like a giveaway. if you are interested please leave me a comment and i would like you to answer a question. i've been thinking of having a "garage sale" with a few of my quilts. a few baby sizes and one lap size and a top. my question is would you even want to see then and hear the prices? i don't want to do the post is people aren't even interested. just because you are instersted in seeing then doesn't mean you want to buy them i'm just seeing if it's even worth the post. i will pick the winner on saturday. i don't love long giveaways.
The quilt is fabulous! Sign me up for the giveaway -- that bag is too cute!
ReplyDeleteLove the bag and the quilt! The quilt is definately going to keep someone warm!
ReplyDeleteSign me up for the giveaway!
Thanks!
laurie
I love the quilting on the baag! Please count me in.
ReplyDeleteLove the bag! As for a 'garage sale' - I'd love to see what you have for sale.
ReplyDeleteI'm in! I'd love to win this bag. It's a great giveaway. Thanks for the chance. And yes, I'd love to hear the prices of your quilts. I'm always curious to see how much people are selling their work for. I don't think any quilter will get as much as she should for her quilts. So much time, thought, energy and supplies. It's a shame, really.
ReplyDeleteI love your string quilt! I wish mine was done already! Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteAnd that bag is perfection! I would use it every day!
Your question is really hard to answer because I've wondered the same thing about my quilts. I'd love to sell them but everyone who reads my blog also quilts...and I'm not sure they'd want to buy them. I do think it's worth a post...but only if your feelings won't get hurt if no one buys them.
The quilt looks awesome as does the bag. I think a garage sale would be awesome ... what if a few of us did it and swapped one quilt top for another; or a bunch of fabric for some others? We'd have to do mail and stuff but it might be worth looking into, and I'd love to do it with you!
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt! I think a garage sale would be a great idea. I'd like to see if happen.
ReplyDeleteI love your string quilt. One day I will make one myself.
ReplyDeleteI think it never hurts to throw your quilts out there. You can't sell them if you don't advertise. You never know who will stumble on your blog, and you never know if someone who DOES quilt will just have to have one of your quilts. I say, give it a shot!
Thanks for the giveaway!
i absolutely would be interested. that is a great idea...then you know that the people who might buy them would give it a good home. thanks for the giveaway...now, that string quilt is amazing. you rock!!
ReplyDeleteLove your string quilt. It is the second one I have seen today and I want to try one! I would love to see a 'garage sale' post. Please do!
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt! It looks so busy and fun and cute!
ReplyDeleteThe bag is adorable also and I'd love to win :)
I think a "yard sale" online would be interesting. I'm very broke, but I am always interested in seeing what other people are up to and how much they charge for their work. I say go for it! :)

What a beautiful quilt - such a lot of work you did! I would love to see what you have for a garage sale. Would it be 1st come 1st serve or to the highest bidder :)
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt! Love all the color. I think it would be fun to see some of your quilts, so I say bring 'em on! :)
ReplyDeleteYour string quilt is awesome!! I love all those happy colors.
ReplyDeleteHaving bought your Oh Cherry Oh quilt...please post more for sale! I'm a quilt-aholic but so far too busy, and too lazy, to take it up myself!
ReplyDeleteYour string quilt is beautiful!! That is one thing about quilting, whenever the fabric or the pattern is very busy the quilting always fades into it. The bag is really cute. As far as your quilts, I would love to see them! I couldn't tell you if I would buy them though without seeing them. In the end, I think you should post them if you want to and I think you will definitely gets some offers.
ReplyDeleteI always love to see what you've been up to. Wouldn't hurt to share your quilts, you might just sell'em all!
ReplyDeleteYes, I'd like to see a post with your quilts and prices. I always like seeing people's quilts, and I'm interested in what price you'd list for your baby and lap quilts (a size I've been making lately).
ReplyDeleteGarage sale!! Great idea! I would definitely like to see what you have. Especially if it's anything like that awesome string quilt. Your bag is so lovely too. Count me in, my fingers are crossed.
ReplyDeleteI love the bag!!! I would love to see your quilts and how much you would ask for them. Sounds like a great idea. Thanks for a chance to win. Check my blog too! I'm having a giveaway that ends tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt finish is awesome!
ReplyDeleteYes, give the garage sale a try! You just never know who is looking for just what you have for sale!
Cute quilt. Love the bag. I'd like to see your "garage sale", too.

Oh yes, I think a garage sale is a great idea, although I don't know how you could part with any of your quilts. And I love the bag!
ReplyDeleteThe string quilt turned out so beautifully! I just love the narrow sashing you put between the blocks, and the quilting looks great.
ReplyDeleteA garage sale sounds like fun! I don't know that I'd buy anything, but I'd love to browse it all. :)
And thank you for making the lovely log cabin block! It looks awesome.
Great giveaway! Beautiful bag! I would love to see your quilts and how much you would ask for them. Please count me in!

I think it would be great! I would like to see the post - it's about quilting, after all...The purse is fantastic. Stacey in SC
ReplyDeleteI didn't think it, but I like the result.
ReplyDeleteCount me in.
Please wright about your garage sale!
Please count me in! It's a lovely bag. I like the suggestion someone made about extending the sale to include a number of bloggers.
ReplyDeleteCount me in for your prize. I would like to see your quilts for sale and what kind of prices you would have - I think that is always the hard part about selling quilts.
ReplyDeleteThe string quilt is beautiful and I love the bag. I would like to see your garage sale.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see you quilt 'garage sale', but I have to admit I'd only be a lookie-loo (shipping a quilt to Canada would be prohibitively expensive) so I'm probably not the commenter you're looking for. (But I do adore looking at your work and your string quilt is to die for!)
ReplyDeleteCute bag! I'd be a lookie-loo also, even though I'd love to buy. My DH is on disability after surgery, so I can't even buy fabric. Good thing I have some projects waiting in my sewing room!
ReplyDeleteThe quilt looks wonderful! I love it! I think an "garage sale" is a great idea!!
ReplyDeleteYou quilt Rocks! I love the colors. I'm thinking more and more about doing a quilt with no borders. Yours is beautiful! Jenn
ReplyDeleteI Love the String Quilt its lovely. I would be interested to see what you have for sale.
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt. Great bag. If you list your quilts for a sale, I think you just have to decide to take what comes and move on. It can go either way. Already, though, if you are worried what your readers think because you don't want to bother anyone, maybe just list on etsy and wait it out. I obssess over my words and can't get over myself, when really people just read and move on. I find if I list in etsy and the item stays up for a while, one day it just sells and then the buyer writes back and says how much she likes it. You just never know who wants what when! Eventually, though, the person who loves the item comes along, and everyone is happy!
ReplyDeleteLove your string quilt - how fun! Of course we would love to see what you have for sale -- your quilt are lovely.
ReplyDeleteWonderful Quilt! I say post away on your garage sale!
ReplyDeleteI want to be a part of the giveaway too if it isn't too late!
ReplyDeleteI would be interested in seeing the quilts and prices, but I am not interesting in shopping. I like the ideas and seeing what people ask for their work...that is the hard part...pricing!
your string quilt looks amazing! i was about to start one of those today. (i got sucked in on line instead.) :) so glad that the stippling blends in. yahoo!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a garage sale! Thanks for the giveaway.
