saturdays

i got the fabric for my quilting bee yesterday and here is what i came up with today. she wanted a star in it somewhere and i really like these stars. i have a blue and green quilt started with these stars. she also wanted some of all the fabrics sent in the block (check), star (check), 10.5 x 10.5 (check) the only thing i'm not ready to check about is the randomness. i need to get better at that. hope you have a nice saturday!!:)

  1. I think the green patch at the end of one of the red "logs" qualifies superbly as randomness!

  10. It's super cute! I love that print with the bicycles, and the star is stunning. I have to empathize with how hard it is to do things "random." I've been trying to add some "randomness" to some of my patterns, and it's HARD! I think that, as quilters, we try so hard to make things so precise all the time that it becomes hard to break out of that mindset. You did a lovely job, though - It's a beautiful square!
