I think it's Swell

When I first started this quilt I didn't like what I had done with it at all. This was in one of my January post as a quilt I just didn't really like. Well now that I've added boarders and framed in my square I think it's just like the name of the fabric line SWELL!:) I am sooooo happy I like it now. I just wish that I new how to make smaller quilts. This will probably end up being a queen size. I think I at least make twin size as my smallest. Not completely true it does just seem like that though. I JUST LOVE BIG, HUGE quilts! I need to learn how to go smaller though.:) As always thanks for stopping by. I LOVE hearing from you.

  6. This is a great quilt, it almost looks like a block ... hard to tell the size of it. It's perfect for Valentine's Day!

  7. I love this! I just found your blog from crazy mom quilts and I am so inspired. I started a quilting class last week and was so nervous. Then I read your random things and see that you have only been quilting a year. It inspired me because your stuff is amazing. I hope I am making things like you do within a year.
I think we will have opposite problems though. The class I am taking teaches you to make a lap quilt and the others in the book are all that same size so I am nervous I will struggle when I attempt anything larger.
Sorry to babble on and on. Love the blog and I LOVE what you have created!

  10. I love the striped border you put on it. Looks great! I once was making a quilt for my Mom and had cut out so much fabric and just kept sewing and sewing pieces together.....well my goodness I placed the top on my queen sized bed and it hung over on both sides to the floor. I was probably thinking way too much with that quilt, my mind was defintely elsewhere! It was funny to look at it so huge. I ended up starting again and still have that enourmous top in my closet. Have a great night! Blessings, Heather
