Random things about me

There is the 25 Random things about me going around on facebook. I've been tagged a lot of time and did it for facebook but thought I'd do it on the blog for fun.

I'm not going to do 25 just 5-10 whatever hits me.

1. I have a very sensitive nose. I have had partylite parties and not candle are lit because they give me a headach and stink.

2. I have never lived in a place longer than 9 years.

3. I like change. I think it's good.

4. My middle name is andrienne

5. I have only been quilting a year.

6. I love my husband. He is super fantastic.

7. I am thankful for God's grace in my life.

8. I'm not an emotional person but could get choked up everytime I see that someone has left a comment on my blog. Silly I know but true!!:)

My color challenge

Let me just say it is very hard for me to work out of my regular color scheme!! But I'm pretty happy with this quilt top and I think the lady that I'm making it for will like it. (at least I hope so) :) I LOVE a challenge. When it's stippled and washed I think I will like it better.

I thought that my camera was broken but thankfully I have a ten year old who knew what to do!!:) Kids these days! Always having to bail us out of technology dilemas!:) Have a great weekend!

Miss a day?

I just can't think of missing a day of blogging. I was going to show my first color challenge quilt of this year but my cameras battery is dead. So I'll show the toy box for Ruby's (my dog)toys. I quilted all the pieces then sewed them together put the cardboard in the middle and put binding on. She is the only little girl that I'll have (which is fine) but it sure is fun to make girly things even if it is only for my dog.
I was also wondering if anyone was feeling sorry for my husband before blogging because he got to see and hear all of what I share with you and of course more!:) He's not into quilting but he loves the results. :)

I wasn't thinking

I make myself laugh and here's the reason. My blog is called quilinlikecrazy and I have only shown fabric. Oh yes the quilt that I'm working on with amanda but other than that I've just shown fabric so my question does anyone believe me that I'm quilting like crazy?:) I have two that I've done this month for friends so I thought I'd show those. I'm going to look forward and only show what I've done this year, but last year I promise I quilted like crazy. I made over 30 quilts so I promise I am quilting like crazy!:)

Wee Play (dreamy sigh)

I am in love with wee play. I have A LOT of it and can't wait to use it. This is on my list of things to do. I have:
1 charm pack
3 fat eighths
5 pieces over a yard
8 1/2 yards
and finally 39 fat quarters.
I think I have enough for a quilt.:) I can't wait to get working with it.
I did get most of it on sale though. We have a quilt shop in town that just had a fun sale because of the weather and I got 45% off!! You just can't pass that up!! Have a great day!

What to do what to do...

Here are a few of the projects that I have going on...

I am making new bed quilts for my boys which are the red, white and blue

I am working on a new king size for me - I just need the back so I can pin it. (it's being ordered)

I am working on a green and blue flea market fancy quilt (love, love, love it!)

I have a quilt in progress that I forgot to show

and lastly I have a swell (fabric) quilt that I've had going for 6-7 months because I'm just not happy with it. but I want to get it done!!

The problem with the projects I don't want to finish is here are all the new projects that I want to start and then some! Is there any doubt in your mind that I caught this bug from none other than amandajean?:) I LOVE FABRIC!!!! I think I could wallpaper my walls in it!:)

This and That...

Here are a few things that I've just recently finished and I LOVE!

I found this fabric at JoAnn's in the remnant bin. I LOVED it so I made a wallet and zipper bags and a notebook cover. I went a little crazy with it and want to get more.

I also got this fabric from amanda and LOVED the little pigs!! How cute are they. I put my coupons in it. We are little pigs with food so I thought it only fitting to carry coupons.

Lastly, here is a quilt that amanda and I made for our school's silent auction. I love the pattern. The colors are nice and bright and I hope other people like it as much as I do (we) do:) . The back is the first picture and the front is the second one. I'm new to blogging and don't feel like figuring out how to switch them. Sorry.

Ruby

This is my dog Ruby and when she sits like this I just LOVE it. She looks like a little prairie dog. We try to get her to do it as much as possible. I think she is a honey! I just had to share it.

Here I go!

Well, here I go! This is the first post on my blog. I have just started quilting within the last year and I have come to LOVE it! I've had a GREAT teacher. It is non other than crazymomquilts. I'm the Heather that she once in awhile will show our stuff or talk about. It's a lot of fun and I want to share some of it with you!
